Chasing the Dream – Proverbs 12

“He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.” Proverbs 12:11 NIV.

My view: If I work to develop and better the resources I’ve been given, I will have an abundance. But if I stop working to chase after fantasies that don’t have much chance of being profitable shows I lack judgment.

Do you read the printed text word for word, then say it back in your own words? I realized just now that I checked back to the wording four times before I was satisfied I didn’t change the writer’s meaning when I wrote My view.

How do you read the scriptures? Do you have a particular learning style that would be interesting to share?
