How Money Grows – Proverbs 13

“Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.” Proverbs 13:11 NIV.

As a child I remember thinking that if I just had a little money it didn’t hurt if I spent it on just stuff. After all, I wasn’t losing anything of real value. But if I was given a larger amount I would stuff it away and make plans for a more serious purchase.

This proverb contradicts my immature thinking. Socking away small bits of money consistently makes it grow. See my post Consider the Ant. And every piece of money grows stronger when it’s managed with other money.

Hey, I’ve learned some wisdom – gather it little by little and make it grow. I like growing things!
