A New Way to Enjoy the Bible – Psalm 150

I love studying the Bible. This year I found a new way to help promote Bible reading. It’s called the Bible Gateway Blogger Grid.

The Grid, hashtag #bgbg2, is a list of bloggers whose posts include references to the Bible. Readers can follow links from the Scriptures to blogs when they want to find another’s perspective on a verse they’re reading. They can also follow links from blogs to BibleGateway.com, the most visited Christian website in the world (over 150 million views per month).

I’ve been using BibleGateway.com as a biblical resource for several years now. It helps me confirm I’m quoting verses correctly. I can compare multiple translations. And there are many other features on the site as well. I’m honored to link my blog to Bible Gateway’s Grid.

This morning I stumbled upon Psalm 150 and couldn’t pass by without responding. Quietly, though; not everyone is out of bed yet. The jubilation will come later when we celebrate the start of the New Year.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens![a]
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
    praise him according to his excellent greatness!

3 Praise him with trumpet sound;
    praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
    praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
    praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150 ESV).

Thank you, God, for giving me the Bible so I might know you, and for giving me breath so I can praise you.
